Armageddon in retrospect
I don’t remember a lot of things, but what I do remember, I remember quite vividly.
One of my fondest memories (Do people have “favorite” memories?) took place at a library, when I was between the age of 13 and 16. So much for clarity and remembering things vividly, huh? Anyway, I walked over to the library and after browsing the stacks for a solid 10 minutes or so, called my sister, Theresa after deciding I was done casually browsing. I asked her what book or author she’d recommend and she replied, “Kurt Vonnegut — I think you’d like him.”
Why is this your fondest? I’ll call you later. By later, I meant hopefully late tonight. I have lots of work to do. But wait for me (PLEASE).
My most vivid memory at a library was when I about 12 or 13. Hah, yeah, so much for vivid. Anyway, my sister took me to the library. I was listening to NSYNC with headphones on and singing along. I guess with the headphones on, I didn’t realize my own volume. According to my sister, I was singing too loud. Embarrassed by me, or mortified, or whatever, she slapped me straight across the face. THAT mortified ME. You know, to this day, I swear I wasn’t singing that loud.
The end. Call u l8er.
How cute
My fondest memories are the most completely random ones… and the memories that my parents recount most often.
When I was about 3-6ish I wanted to nap with my brother on the couch with my stuffed animal, but was promptly pushed off when I woke him up. There’s a picture around my house somewhere of me being upset and my brother being super annoyed…
@Mimi: Libraries memories are always so good. I wonder which NSYNC song you were singing.
@Amber: Memories are funny things, sometimes things that I remember haven’t really happened or I just dreamed them. Who am I supposed to believe if I can’t even believe myself??
my vivid memory is none! Well I hope I have or remember one. Maybe I do remember, trying to remember now!
Will let you know when I remember!
