United (Nations) we stand, Divided I fail
Never has multi-tasking and half-assed efforts been so pronounced than on Sunday while juggling two things that should have received my undivided attention. It’s a bad feeling to know you are overextending yourself and physically and mentally cannot deliver.
Good news is that my first article was published today. Speaking of which, I am not sure how I feel about not being able to come up with my own headlines and subheads. I’ve read mixed comments about headlines. E.g. Lose the puns, be direct instead; or, come up with a good headline, it’s what attracts the reader. So two goals: Chill out and stop punning (Yeah, alright).
Edit: After the presidential elections, the next best thing is waiting for Obama to reveal his cabinet member picks. Al Gore for Secretary of State? I’d prefer him as Secretary of Energy and I wish Paul Krugman would be the Secretary of Treasury, but alas his response if Obama were to ask him to be Sec. of Treasury, “I would urge him very much to reconsider. I’m just temperamentally unsuited. … I don’t want any kind of administration job. I think that it’s better for me, the country, and general mental health to have me on the outside.” Honest man.
You would vote on Prop 2; wait so are you vegetarian today? Haha, just kidding.
Anyways, the new WP is so sweet! I love it! Your article also! Love it! Your staff picture is so ….radiant!
Millie,
I hate Al Gore. I hate your blog.
I’d even say that I hate global warming—but it’s impossible to hate something that isn’t even real!
I
‘m going to become the first Republican senator in California since ’92.
Try and stop me.
PS: I miss you, and I hope you’re doing well. Glad to know you’re still writing.
I love Zuodi. And the new WP. And cows, but only when they’re dead and cooked medium rare.
Oh and I agree with Nicole, your staff picture is so radiant… to the point where it’s ridiculous.
