A few fiery excerpts from a pastor’s sermons have about as much to do with what our next president will do in office as weapons of mass destruction had to do with the decision to invade Iraq. There is definitely a subtle but alarming double standard here–what about McCain accepting John Hagee’s endorsement? Is it excusable because it was based on political calculation?
